Once you get your Basic Open Water certification, think of your certification as a "Learner's Permit". Yes, you are certified but you are not ready to dive in many environments without further training or experience. 
A great way to accelerate your preparedness for more challenging dive environments (deep,wrecks, boats, etc.) and activities (photography, night diving, etc.) is to take the PADI Advanced Open Water course.
 
PREREQUISITES:
-- Open Water Certification
-- Ages 12 and up. (12-14 year olds are Junior Advanced Divers)
 
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
-- Fee: $250 includes class and pool session, student kit, supervision of 5 Adventure Dives, certification application.
-- Attend 4 hour Advanced academic/pool session at Bluewater. Offered monthly on a Saturday from 6-10pm.
-- Complete 5 supervised Adventure Dives, including Deep and Navigation dives (required) and 3 other dives of your choice.
 
NOTE: Class fee does not include equipment rental or travel and dive fees associated with Adventure Dives.
 
THEN WHAT? After achieving your advanced certification, you can move forward to Rescue Diver and Master Scuba Diver or Divemaster. Call us for details!
